Wilburn F Sizemore married Sarah Sallie Jones 1803–1901.

Some online trees claim that Wilburn Sizemore was born a "Jones." This theory appears to be based on death records of three of his grandchildren (children of his daughter Rebecca Sizemore) which name their mother's maiden name as "Jones." (Another granddaughter's death certificate listed Rebecca's maiden name as "Asher".)
Because Wilburn's daughter Rebecca is often given a 2nd surname of Jones, some have believed that Wilburn was also a Jones. However, Wilburn Sizemore, husband of Sally Jones and father of Rebecca and others, has only ever been found in documents with the surname Sizemore.

Wilburn & Sally (Jones) Sizemore had a daughter named Rebecca Sizemore who married Blevins Sizemore in 1856 (Rebecca was a 20-year-old "maid" at her marriage).
3 of Rebecca's children (Henry, Nelson, & William) have death certificates that list their mother's surname-at-birth as Jones. Because of this, she is most often listed in trees as Rebecca Jones Sizemore - 2 surnames. (It should also be pointed out that her daughter Polly, however, listed her mother as Rebecca Asher on her death certificate)
Because Rebecca is often given a 2nd surname of Jones, it looks to me that her father was given these 2 surnames, as well.
But, thus far (to my knowledge), Wilburn Sizemore, husband of Sally Jones, has only ever been found with the surname Sizemore.
